The Starship Children’s Hospital have declared a winner for their mobile phone charity appeal, as a six-year old champion answered the call by adding 368 to the collection.
Breanna Newman accepted the challenge to fundraise for the Auckland hospital by donating mobile phones, and her family and friends were only to happy to help. 60% of the money made from refurbishing and reselling the phones will help children like Ethan Rae (pictured) who received life-saving surgery for a rare genetic condition and is now healthy and thriving.
Champion Breanna doesn’t own a mobile phone herself, but her collection for charity will make a real difference, and the Starship Children’s Hospital are still accepting phone donations for this innovative campaign.
